![]() ![]() If you are adding a pattern to a peice of clothing, you double click the layer, opening a styles menu that shows there patterns-and I'm seeing a limited amount, maybe 20 or so, all as PAT files. Photoshop c4 houses its patterns at PAT in a folder. I purchased a book of photoshop as well, but as of yet I havent been able to resolve the issue I am asking about. I have watched many, and learned a great deal. Yes, I understand there are numerous tutorials and books available. They are a bit dated now, but the basic techniques haven't changed, and her style is beginner-friendly. If you are just learning to make clothing in SL, I suggest starting with Natalia Zemlya's tutorials. If you purchase images from someone else, be sure that you understand what rights you have to re-use them. If you want to avoid intellectual property/copyright issues, the wisest route is to use your own photographs or to create images within Photoshop itself. ), and will let you save them in any of the four formats that SL allows for upload: TGA, PNG, JPG, or BMP. Photoshop will accept image files in many standard formats (I assume PAT is among them, although I have never encountered any PAT files myself. Learning the basics of the program is a prerequisite to doing any serious work. I'd start there, regardless of whether you are using Photoshop for SL or anything else. At rough estimate, there must be forty gazillion Photoshop tutorials on line and there is a huge stack of Photoshop books at your local bookstore.
